Automating Software Quality Measurement with Standards

Speaker: Dr. Bill Curtis, Founding Executive Director

Presented live on May 15, 2019

The CISQ software quality measures for Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency and Maintainability have been updated to cover over 100 critical weaknesses in source code, including new considerations for securing embedded systems and IoT, which expands the breadth and depth of coverage of the standards. The measures can be used to develop and maintain high quality software for enterprise, embedded and IoT systems. Each measure maps to the Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE), a reference point for developers and tools, which makes it easier for the community to the leverage the standards.

In this webinar, Dr. Bill Curtis will introduce the updated standards and discuss:

  • How development teams can use the standards to build better software
  • How static analysis tools can assess their coverage map and enable customers to certify software quality to standards
